Start with your mala beads in your dominant hand, tassel facing inward towards you.
Begin turning each bead individually in your fingers, following down the mala from bead to bead.
During each turn of a bead, take a deep inhale followed by an exhale. For each turn of a bead, you may also repeat your chosen mantra or you may just focus on your breath.
When you have gone through the entire length of the mala, you will finish with the guru bead located directly above the tassel.
